At Merge Rocks we're looking for a Team Lead Project/Product Manager to join our team.

Merge Rocks is a design and development agency with a strong focus on UX-first design, which is our core strength. Our team consists of 15+ designers and 5+ developers, allowing us to create impactful and visually stunning products.

We are now looking for an experienced and visionary Team Lead Project/Product Manager to lead our PM team and oversee complex, long-term projects while driving operational excellence.

What you'll be doing?

Product Management

  • Manage 1–2 high-complexity, long-term projects (6 months or longer) simultaneously, taking full ownership of the product lifecycle from concept to successful delivery;

  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and developers to gather, analyze, and document detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs;

  • Develop comprehensive product roadmaps, breaking down requirements into actionable tasks and prioritizing them effectively for delivery;

  • Drive the product vision, strategy, and execution while maintaining a clear focus on delivering value to both clients and end users;

  • Act as the key decision-maker and point of contact for all product-related decisions, ensuring stakeholder alignment and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle;

  • Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies to keep the project on track;

  • Regularly review and adjust product plans based on client feedback, market insights, and team capacity to achieve the best possible outcomes

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of 2+ project managers;

  • Scale the PM team by recruiting and onboarding new talents to meet growing business demands;

  • Define and improve project management processes to ensure consistent delivery quality and efficiency across all teams;

  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Process Optimization

  • Build and refine workflows, tools, and methodologies to improve project delivery processes;

  • Develop scalable processes for both project tracking and communication to handle multiple high-complexity projects effectively.

Client Management

  • Establish strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project expectations and progress;

  • Proactively address client needs, manage potential conflicts, and maintain a high level of client trust and satisfaction;

  • Present project updates, timelines, and deliverables to clients with clarity and confidence.

What is needed?

  • Proven experience in leading and delivering complex projects with measurable success cases, preferably in the design industry;

  • At least Upper-Intermediate English. Strong command of English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with international clients;

  • Fluent Ukrainian, as the entire internal team communicates in Ukrainian;

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role;

  • Hands-on experience as a Product Owner, including managing requirements, prioritizing features, and aligning with stakeholders;

  • Strong skills in designing, implementing, and improving workflows and processes;

  • Experience working with design and development teams in an agency environment;

  • Exceptional communication skills (English at least Upper-Intermediate) to manage client relationships effectively;

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, Trello);

  • Ability to independently manage and deliver complex projects while balancing team and client needs;

  • Experience in mentoring PMs;

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
